We are currently looking for an experienced general facilities maintenance technician.
We need someone who can easily adapt to a change in schedule and can work alongside other trades & admin team to prioritise workload. You may be called in to assist other team members on emergency or planned jobs.
You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to complete paperwork in a neat and concise manner.
This is a full-time role working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through overtime when required.
You may also be expected to assist with our call out rota where you will be paid a standby and attendance allowance accordingly.
Due to the requirement to travel within this role, you must hold a full and current driving licence that is acceptable to our insurers and can drive a company van.
Your job role will mainly be based on compliant planned preventive maintenance, small projects & maintenance.
Key Skills Responsibilities to include:
· Portable appliance testing.
· Emergency light discharge testing.
· Handyman repairs on commercial properties.
· Experience in several different areas will be looked at favourable such as Joinery/ glazing / locks / door repairs, minor plumbing, minor electrical, painting, plaster repairs, & general handymen duties.
· Ensure that the public are always treated respectfully.
· Able to communicate at all levels both face to face and over the telephone.
· Physically fit to be able to carry out duties.
· Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
· The applicant should be of excellent manor, be able to adapt to different work scenarios, excellent timekeeper, trustworthy, of good character, be able to work well with others and on their own initiative to tight deadlines.
· Always maintain a high standard of Health & Safety, ensuring correct PPE is being used.
